Arkansas Point Mountain Bike Race
Sunday, April 1st, 2012 at 9 a.m.
The Lake Pueblo Arkansas Point Challenge is a USA Cycling sanctioned race, all rules apply. A USA Cycling license is required to compete. Non-license competitors may participate but will incur a $5 charge for a one-day license.
Class 1 (Expert): 28 mile course
Class 2 (Sport): 20 mile course
Class 3 (Beginner) 11 mile course
Juniors (14 years & under): 11 mile course
Race starts and ends below Lake Pueblo dam and climbs up the paved bike path along the road almost to Hwy 96 to reach the “Duke” single track trail to Rodeo Ridge to Cuatro Sinko. The shorter course turns back on South Shore trail while the two longer courses cross over to Outer Limits and Voo Doo trails before returning on South Shore trail. This race is sponsored by and raises funds for the Southern Colorado Trail Builders who help maintain trails at Lake Pueblo and the surrounding area.
Registration: (limited to 150 entrants)
Pre- register: $25.00 without license/$20.00 with a current USA Cycling license
Race day registration: $30 without license/$25.00 with a current USA Cycling license
Fee includes entry into Lake Pueblo State Park at the south entrance station located below the dam. This is an event only park pass and is not valid outside of the event area.
